Fresh Fiction Special Promotion Opportunities Available
Fresh Fiction has a special summer opportunity available: our "Christmas in July" promotion. A time when we think about summer activities and wish for cooler weather. The Fresh Fiction "Christmas in July" runs from July 5th to July 26th. The promotion includes a special contest section, summer reading suggestions, as well as summer related news articles, recipes and general notes to readers. We'll also be sending out a special newsletter to our Fresh Fiction News subscribers.
So... here's the scoop

SPECIAL CONTESTS
We'll create a special section for the "holiday" contests with humorous backgrounds and run promotion with a special newsletter to remind readers of your books.
We suggest a Christmasy or summer themed gift or bookstore gift card, remember chocolate doesn't travel well in the summer months and readers LOVE to shop for books! To make the contest as stress free for authors as possible -- think gift cards! A bookstore gift card is a great way to remind readers to check out YOUR books during their shopping expeditions! Borders allows you to personalize their gift card with YOUR book cover to be a constant reminder to the recipient and Starbucks allows you to personalize a refillable card to help your name "stick" with a reader for a long time. Target and Wal*Mart cards can be used online or in brick and mortar stores.
CONTEST MANAGEMENT INCLUDES PERSONALIZED WEB PAGES AND PROMOTION WEB PAGES:
Each contest has two pages: the contest description with entry page and the "thank-you" page. The contest description includes two images -- publicity photo, a contest image (if provided) or the cover image of your latest or upcoming book as well as a three paragraph description of your contest (or copy provided). A link to your web site and thank you blurb is provided on the successful entry page. Your bibliography on FreshFiction.com is also listed on the "thank you for entering" page.

PROMOTION:
Our multi-pronged strategy for promoting contests includes a central location on the FreshFiction.com web site contest index and weekly promotion in the Fresh Fiction Newsletter (145,000 opt-in subscribers), plus social media promotion.

You'll receive the unique entries and winner information on the first business day after the conclusion of your contest. FreshFiction confirms the winner's mailing address and forwards it to you. The author (or designate) is responsible for the shipping of the prize within a timely period.
You can run the special "Christmas in July" promotion contest (and get all benefits of Fresh Fiction Contest Management including the entries in a text file) for only $99. All we need is the following information sent to contests@freshfiction.com:
- Contest Title (under 20 words)
- Contest Prize
- Contest Description (if you do not provide one, we'll use the summary of your current book)
- Featured Book (can be current, past or upcoming)
- URL link (we default to your personal website, but you may have a special page you'd like us to link to -- an excerpt, or a special letter page, etc)
You may also include an image of your contest prize, please attach it to your email to contests@freshfiction.com.
DEADLINE for response is: Wednesday JUNE 39th for the CHRISTMAS IN JULY promotion.
ADD YOUR OWN GREETING OR RECIPE OR SUMMER READING LIST
If you want to add what's on your summer reading list, a greeting, recipe, or submit any author news during the month, please use http://freshfiction.com/addsummer.php We'll add a bit of summer fun to it and include it in the "Christmas in July" section as well as the Author News section.
