June Events
Happy Birthday USA! and other July Events
Fort Worth Book Club
Join us on the first Tuesday (July 6th) for a delicious grilled treat plus a call-in from author Annette Blair as we talk about her two paranormal mystery series and kick back for a summer meeting! RSVP
July Tea
Second Saturday (July 10th) means it's TEA DAY! And it's time for a "western" tea! We'll be stopping by the Sophie's Tea Garden for a refreshing afternoon tea at 2pm. Be sure to RSVP so we get the numbers correct! There will be a book trade, so a great excuse to check out those shelves and bring your "discards" to the tea. And you'll be sure to find some new treasures, so don't forget your bag!
Plano Book Club
Third Wednesday and it's book club in Plano! Oh, yeah! This month, because it's HOT we'll be doing the NY Deli sandwich theme, and maybe, just maybe, Long Island Iced Tea. Who knows!!!! And to keep us hot under the collar (or elsewhere, giggle) our guest is Tessa Dare. She's written two outstanding trilogies set in Regency era England and gotten rave reviews from other tea members. You won't want to miss the opportunity to talk with her on Wednesday, July 21st. RSVP
Weekly Newsletter
And don't forget to sign up for the weekly newsletter. Each week (on Sunday) you'll get the latest signing information for the area. The who-what-where for author signings! Join us as we visit with visiting authors and have very special events!

Tuesday, July 6, 2010 Annette Blair
Author Annette Blair took a twenty-year roller-coaster ride to overnight success, which has made each contract, writing award, and bestseller list that much sweeter. Yes, her tenacity is legendary, though some just call her stubborn. Her Bewitching Romantic Comedies started with a root canal and a reluctant trip to Salem Massachusetts. Though she had once proclaimed she’d never write a contemporary, Annette stumbled into the serendipitous role of ‘Accidental Witch Writer’ on that trip. Funny how she managed to eat her words, even with an aching jaw. Magic or destiny; My Favorite Witch became her first National Bestseller.

Wednesday, July 21, 2010 Tessa Dare
Tessa Dare is a part-time librarian, full-time mommy and swing-shift writer living in Southern California.
Tessa lived a rather nomadic childhood in the Midwest. As a girl, she discovered that no matter how many times she moved, two kinds of friends traveled with her: the friends in books, and the friends in her head. She still converses with both sets daily.
Tessa writes fresh and flirty historical romance, a blog, and the stray magazine article. To the chagrin of her family, Tessa does not write grocery lists, Christmas cards, or timely checks to utility companies. She shares a tiny bungalow with her husband, their two children, a dog, and many dust bunnies.
Tessa enjoys a good book, a good laugh, a good long walk in the woods, a good movie, a good meal, a glass of good wine, and the company of good people.
