July 2007 ~ Vol. 1, Issue 3
Greetings!
Summer is here with a vengeance. I haven't been outside in two days – it's just too hot! That's okay, though, because I have more than enough to do at my computer.
My apologies that the newsletter is a little late getting out to you this month. I just returned from the Romance Writer's of America National Convention, a week of networking, workshops, talking and making new friends. TOUCH OF TEXAS' cover was very well received. I can't count the number of times I heard "wow" when someone saw it for the first time. And the postcards disappeared every time I put them out.

"Suspenseful, heart-warming and...unforgettable.” -- NY Times Bestselling Author, Lorraine Heath
I'm on the Publisher's Weekly blog site! On Saturday of the conference, I joined three other writers, Suzanne Welsh, Jo Davis and Sandy Blair, for breakfast with Barbara Vey from Publisher's Weekly. The conversation was delightful. Take a look at the photo on her Beyond the Book blog, under "Red Carpet Saturday posted July 14:" Beyond_the_Book_Blog. I just wish my eyes would stay open when the flash goes off!
Remember, you now can pre-order TOUCH OF TEXAS at Amazon.com. Tell all your friends. And feel free to forward this newsletter, too. Then your friends, neighbors and family can visit my website, www.tracygarrett.com, and sign up to have the newsletter delivered directly to them.
My July contest is underway on Fresh Fiction, FreshFiction_TracyGarrett_July_Contest. You can sign up for a chance to win a sparkly sun visor and a copy of a hysterical book by the wonderful writer – and my good friend – Jane Graves. If you haven't read any of Jane's books yet, don't miss this one. It is on shelves now.
That's all for now. Have a wonderful summer – and stay cool!
See you next month!
Tracy
